Gal Snir

Gal moved to the United States as young child and began her dance journey at Cary Ballet Conservatory in North Carolina, where her first ballet class sparked a lifelong devotion to the art form. When her family relocated to Redmond WA, she enrolled in the pre-professional program at International Ballet Academy, continuing her training in ballet, jazz and modern dance. It was during high school that she discovered a parallel passion for anatomy which set her on a path toward medicine.

Gal earned her BS in Biology and BA in Dance at the University of Washington. At UW Dance, she studied under Hannah Wiley, Jennifer Salk, Alexandra Bradshaw, Rachael Lincoln, Alethea Alexander, and Etienne Cakpo, among others, performing in numerous undergraduate and graduate productions and expanding her training to include contemporary, hip hop, traditional African dance forms, and (a bit!) of swing.

In 2025, Gal moved to Spokane to begin medical school at WSU’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Before she’d even arrived, she Googled “contemporary dance, Spokane” — and found Vytal. She is thrilled and grateful to be joining the company for its 11th season.

When not dancing, she can be found dancing. When not doing that, she can be found with her sweet partner Sam and their equally sweet dog, Angel. You can follow her shenanigans, dancing or otherwise, on Instagram @gal_ss
