Mikaela Perry-Boyle
Mikaela grew up in Ashland, Oregon and began taking dance classes at the age of 8 years old. After studying various styles at her local studio, Mikaela moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University. In 2020, Mikaela graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, and a M. Ed in Teaching with focuses in Elementary Education and Reading in 2021. While attending Gonzaga, Mikaela continued studying dance with the Academic Dance Program, performing in many mainstage productions and at the American College of Dance Association Conference. At Gonzaga, Mikaela took classes from Suzanne Ostersmith, CaliAnn Forthun- Bruner, and Pam Erickson and attended various workshops. Additionally, Mikaela was a member and coach of the student led Hip-Hop dance team, performing at Men’s and Women’s basketball games, traveling to WCC tournaments, and attending workshops. After graduating, Mikaela started her teaching career at a local elementary school and combined her love of dance and fitness by becoming a certified Jazzercise instructor and is teaching classes in Spokane South Hill.
When not dancing, Mikaela can be found golfing, working out, or playing with her husky. Mikaela is thrilled to be continuing her dance career with the Vytal Movement Dance Company.
